IANTD is the only agency that offers training in all aspects of technical diving through a full range of response-driven diver training programmes, allowing you to expand your knowledge and training with some of the top professionals in the field.

Whether you're taking your first tentative steps or you're an experienced diver wishing to push beyond the limits of recreational diving, IANTD offers a complete range of diver training programs from entry-level Open Water Diver through to Trimix CCR and Cave, taught by a team of instructors trainers and instructors who represent the very best technical divers in the UK and the world. This is the start of an adventure like no other - take an IANTD course today and discover the explorer in you!

Although most courses are run on site at Vobster, some IANTD training programmes may require travel to locations other than Vobster Quay for training. Please note that course fees include course manual and certification fees but do not include the cost of gas and equipment hire (if required).

OUR TRAINING ETHOS - Education is purchased but certification is awarded based solely upon student performance.

Rebreathers - Go bubble-free!

Rebreathers have opened up a whole new dimension in diving, offering the ultimate in gas-efficient 'no bubbles' diving for recreational and technical divers alike.

By recycling the gas that we exhale, rebreathers are super-efficient gas management tools that use a fraction of the gas used by conventional open circuit divers.

IANTD's range of Rebreather training programs allow you to develop your skills and knowledge of Rebreather diving in a safe, progressive and controlled manner under the direct supervision of your IANTD Rebreather instructor.

Vobster Quay can offer training on what we believe to be the best closed circuit rebreather on the market today - the RedBare CCR from VMS.

IANTD Course List

IANTD Essentials
DURATION: Two full days
PREREQUISITES:
  • Advanced Open Water
  • Minimum of 15 years old
COST: £ CALL US!
NEXT COURSE:
The Essentials programme can benefit ANY diver. Stepping back from skills and depth progression, it offers an indepth look at gas use, breathing, gear configuration, linking physical and mental performance.

It shies away from a one size fits all approach, preferring to equip the diver with an appreciation of options available and which might suit their diving best. The result is a diver who is more knowledgeable and thinks more, making diving more efficient, safer and enjoyable. It's an ideal preparation for high end Trimix or Cave course, or as a tune up in it's own right.

IANTD Self-Sufficient Diver
DURATION: Two full days
PREREQUISITES:
  • Advanced Open Water
  • Minimum of 15 years old
COST: £ CALL US!
NEXT COURSE:
Perfect for UK diving, the IANTD Self-Sufficient Diver course covers the planning and skills needed to cope with problems that would normally end a dive on a single cylinder rig.

Anyone diver qualified from PADI Advanced Open Water upwards can become an IANTD Self-Sufficient diver, though we recommend EANx is used to maximise the benefits. The course also servces as a perfect introduction to diving twinsets if you also want to use it as a stepping stone to deeper things.

The IANTD Sidemount Diver course covers theory, gas planning, kit configuration and dive skills, with the emphasis firmly on getting in the water and diving to discover and enjoy the benefits of a totally new setup. It can also use much of the equipment you already have, making it more financially accessible. Most sidemount wings can be used with singles and twinsets as well!

IANTD Open Water DPV Diver
DURATION: Two full days
PREREQUISITES:
  • Advanced Open Water
  • Minimum of 18 years old
COST: £ CALL US!
NEXT COURSE:
Diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs) are all the rage these days but you don't need to be a hardcore explorer to enjoy the benefits that they offer. Want to explore your favourite wreck in a single dive? Want to dive through current without breaking a sweat? You need a DPV.

Under the expert tuition of IANTD tech instructor Howard Hugo Angel, you can learn all about these awesome devices. You'll learn motives and risks for DPV diving, equipment configuration and streamlining techniques for DPV diving, procedures and techniques for DPV diving, Task loading and dive / gas planning needs for DPV diving, gas sharing and towing techniques, conservation considerations for DPV handling, minimizing specific environment impact and considerations for the increased range of travel / penetration and safe charging, transport and maintenance procedures for DPVs.

Sound like fun? Don't delay - contact us today and book your IANTD Open Water DPV course today and expensive life in the fast lane! Not got your own DPV? We can hire you a high performance Suex DPV for the duration of this course.
