Vobster Santas 2019

VOBSTER SANTAS 2019
FESTIVE FUNDRAISING FUN!

Ho Ho Ho! The continuing success of our world record-holding Vobster Santas Splash-in from its humble beginnings here at Vobster has inspired us to carry on with our traditional Christmas dive this year.

We are not alone either - a quick trawl of the global diving community reveals Santa diving events in Crete, Key Largo and Santa Cruz Island to name but three. Santa diving events are popular here in the UK too but none even come close to the size and shear fun of Vobster Santas - last year we smashed the world record by successfully getting 188 Santa divers into the water at once and it's a record we want to take even higher! Can we beat it? Of course we can - but only with your help.

Of course Vobster Santas isn't just about world records - it's also about raising some serious cash for charity. Once again, we're aiming to raise some serious money for the RNLI by getting as many sponsored divers and swimmers dressed in their finest Santa outfits onsite and in the water as we can. Every single day the brave men & women of the RNLI put their own lives at risk to ensure the safety and well being of all those that use and enjoy the seas around the UK.

Each and every Santa diver or swimmer will be invited to seek sponsorship for their endeavours through either individual sponsorship or via JustGiving. To help your fundraising activities, we've created a selection of posters you can download here. Before you start your fundraising, please take a few moments to register...

This year's event is all set to run on Sunday 15th December 2019 so sign up today!

OLD DOG, NEW GLOVES! After nearly 30 years of diving, Hugo has convinced Tim to give these new fangled dry gloves a whirl. Initial suspicion that this was 'all a bit soft' gave way to delight during a 105min CCR skills dive and Tim's hands emerged not only dry, but 'unmottled'. Tim would eat his hat if he didn't need it to keep his head warm. #kubi #drygloves #otterdrysuits #iantduk #redbareccr #vobsterquay ##drysuittraining

Where's Hugo? a free cup of tea for the first pair of keen eyes to find Vobster Quays own Hugo Angel attending the PADI Pros UK diving safety event at PADI HQ. We take safety extremely seriously at Vobster and it was a great accolade to get our diver rescue video mentioned by the HSE. #vobsterquay #divesafety #safetrainingisgoodtraining #padiuk
