You asked for it and we've delivered – on two nights in October, we'll be running 'proper' night dives here at Vobster Quay. With a choice of two dates, it's the perfect opportunity to explore the lake in the hours of darkness so grab those lithium-powered lightsabers and come join us!
With an out of the water time of 22:00, there will be plenty of time to finish the day job and then head to Vobster Quay for a relaxing two-dive evening. Whether you're a sport diver lamenting the end of the sea diving season, or a dive school hustling to run some proper night diver training, diving at Vobster Quay in the dark is a unique and thrilling experience not to be missed. What's more, these very special night dive sessions are
OPEN TO ALL - including non-members!
MEET THE 'VOBSTER LOBSTERS'
The darker hours offer the perfect opportunity to spot our famous
white-clawed crayfish as they go about their business scurrying around the various nooks and crannies to be found on the lake floor. Why not indulge in a bit of 'citizen science' by helping us to track their distribution within the lake? You can report your sightings (and post up pictures!) to our official
White-clawed Crayfish Conversation Project page on the
Project Baseline website? We'd love you to get involved!
Back to the practicalities of night diving - once you've had a great time, you'll need to be
paid up and offsite by 22:30. Food and gas will be
available until 21:00 - sorry we can't do cheeky fills or burgers after that.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Both night diving sessions will become bookable 28-days in advance via our online booking portal.
