SUMMER SWIMMING UPDATE - Don't miss these
important changes to our swim procedures!
Vobster Quay welcomes paddle sport enthusiasts with a range of high-quality facilities that provide all you need to enjoy a fun and leisurely SUP, canoe and kayaking experience.
RELAX & ENJOY THE VERY BEST
STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING
CANOEING & KAYAKING
Welcome to the UK's friendliest open water activities venue. During the months of April through to the end of October, we offer Vobster Quay paddle members the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely session on our beautiful lake.
As a Vobster Quay
paddle sport member, you can choose a timed booking slot for a four hour session on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday only during the Summer months (May thru September) through the portal up to 14 days in advance. Note that only one paddle sport session is available per week on a Friday afternoon during April and again in October. Access for paddle sports is not available outside these sessions.
Please note that we require that SUP, canoe and kayak users must either paddle in pairs or have one assigned land-based spotter who watches them throughout their session. Spotters must prebook attendance too (see below).
Please do not turn up if you are not a current member and have not booked a session.
If you don't own your own SUP equipment and fancy giving it a try, lessons can be booked through our friends at Adventure SUP.
NO GEAR? - Please note that we do not hire out SUP, Canoe or Kayak equipment.
You will need to own and bring all your own equipment including buoyancy aids, foot pumps and paddles.
STAY SAFE AS YOU PADDLE
We like to think that Vobster Quay offers the highest quality, friendly & stress-free place to enjoy paddle sports. To ensure your safety and enjoyment, we ask all SUP, canoe & kayak visitors to observe the following rules and safety guidelines...

- Paddle Sports visitors should be accompanied by a buddy or land based spotter at all times. Solo paddling without a spotter is not allowed.
- Paddle Sports visitors should enter and exit the water at the dedicated SUP, canoe & kayak entry point only.
- Paddle Sports visitors must be able to swim 25 metres unaided in cold water.
- You are comfortable swimming in deep water and can tread water for a minimum of 1 minute.
- You must wear a buoyancy aid/jacket at all times. You must bring your own - we do not have them available to hire.
