Want to take the next big challenge? The PADI Advanced Open Water course will increase your confidence and enhance your scuba skills, making you more comfortable in the water.

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is a thrilling adventure like no other. Under the supervision of a PADI instructor, you'll undertake five open water dives - each one offering a whole new diving experience and a range of advanced techniques designed to make you a better and more confident scuba diver.

Run over two days, the PADI Advanced Open Water course involves five dives, two of which are compulsory 'core dives' - Deep and Navigation. The three remaining 'adventure' dives can be chosen from a selection of experience dives to best suit the type of diving that the student wishes to undertake. Depending on availability, experience dives can include:

Upon completition of the PADI Advanced Open Water course, you will be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 30 metres (or 21m for divers aged between 12-14yrs).

Dives completed during the course can be credited towards the corrosponding PADI Specialty course, giving you one less dive to complete and a discount on the cost of the course!

The Vobster Difference

Taking your PADI Advanced Open Water course at Vobster Quay is a great way to start your diving career.

As a full-time professional diving operation with years of experience behind us, we've put together an unbeatable range of packages with no hidden costs - guaranteed!

Stay dry and toasty warm!

Wanna stay warm and toasty on a dive? Then dive dry! Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you off from the outside water so you stay totally dry throughout your dive.

For divers wanting to make the most of the many world-class dive sites that the UK coastline has to offer, a drysuit is a must. If you'd prefer to undertake your training in the warmth of a drysuit then why not combine it with a PADI Drysuit Specialty course? This fabulous course will give you the skills and knowledge to safely and competently dive in a drysuit. For the ultimate in diving comfort, nothing even comes close to a drysuit.

Training options...

Everyone likes choice and flexibility which is why we've put together not one, not two but three different packages to suit your own unique training needs. Whatever your priorities, we have a package for you.

For divers looking for the ultimate in service and flexibility, we offer a PLATINUM PACKAGE. Our platinum package include one-to-one training with a fully-qualified and insured professional PADI instructor along with a host of additional benefits exclusive to us.

The next time your favourite wreck or carefully laid plan is blown out, remember the magical world of mud. Mud and fine sediment are there because it's a sheltered environment, which means it's also a possible bad weather weather alternative. No excuses for not diving, learning and discovering something you haven't seen before! Cheers, Tim

Vobster Santas Temp and Viz update: The forecast is for sun and clouds, with light SW winds. Underwater, we have a temp of 9 degrees at the surface and 20m viz in places. More importantly, we have around 140 divers forecast to attend - if we can get a few more, we might even be able to top the record of 188 to celebrate 10 years of Santa diving at Vobster Quay. Please remember to collect heaps of sponsorship money for the RNLI and Air Ambulance - the reason for Santa diving is fundraising to save lives. Cheers, Tim
